Airport Business

Airports are places that connect cities with rural areas, towns with towns, people with people, and provide opportunities for encounters and development. We are involved in the operation of 10 airports in Japan with the aim of contributing to the development of the region by increasing the non-resident population and working together while taking advantage of the characteristics of the airport location.

Involved in the operation of 10 airports by leveraging our know-how

Based on the operation and inbound-related know-how cultivated in the commercial facilities and hotel business, we are involved in the operation of Takamatsu Airport, Miyako Shimojishima Airport Terminal, Fuji Shizuoka Airport, and seven airports in Hokkaido, while effectively utilizing synergies with other businesses in our group.

Strategic Perspective of the Mitsubishi Estate Group

urban development in Miyakojima City

Bringing the essence of Mitsubishi Estate's urban development to Miyako Island.
Starting from the airport, create a urban development that creates a flow of people.

Miyako Island is blessed with varied natural scenery, including peninsulas and sandy beaches, and unique cultural assets such as folk arts and traditional textiles, and is becoming more popular every year as a resort destination where visitors can enjoy a tropical atmosphere without having to leave Japan.

In addition to Miyako Shimojishima Airport Terminal, we are also promoting resort hotel development plans such as "Hilton Okinawa Miyakojima Resort" (*Opening in June 2023) and "Rosewood Miyakojima" (*Scheduled to open in 2024). . Our goal is to create a resort that coexists with the local community, harmonizing with the beautiful scenery of Miyako Island and blending into the natural environment.

We will contribute to the revitalization of the tourism industry and the local economy not only on Miyako Island, but also on Okinawa as a whole, while providing high-quality tourism value through the twin wheels of hotel development and airport management.
