List of Buildings to Introduce Renewable Energy

From fiscal 2021, Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. will use renewable energy-derived electricity ("renewable power") for all of the electricity in the 18 office buildings it owns in the Marunouchi area (Otemachi, Marunouchi, Yurakucho), along with the Yokohama Landmark Tower, a total of 19 buildings. Combining the green power sourced directly from the power generation facilities with the use of feed-in tariff (FIT) non-fossil fuel certificates with tracing information achieves the RE100* standards. Since this covers all the electricity used in these buildings, the tenant companies are therefore deemed to be using the renewable power. Moreover, during fiscal 2022, Mitsubishi Estate plans to introduce renewable power for all the electricity used in all of the office buildings it owns in the Marunouchi area. The company will continue to proactively introduce renewable power in its other buildings as well.

  • A collaborative initiative bringing together businesses committed to 100% renewable power. Joining forces, the initiative sends a powerful signal to policymakers and investors to accelerate the shift to renewable electricity from the standpoint as energy users.
