Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. is delighted to announce that the Marunouchi Building reopened today, September 3rd, following a period of reconstruction. The "new" Marunouchi Building has 37 floors above ground and a total floor area of approximately 160,000m2. The large-scale multipurpose structure is now home to leading domestic and international companies, and 140 modern stores and restaurants. It is scheduled to open to the public on September 6th.
It is the hope of Mitsubishi Estate that Marunouchi Building will be recognized as a symbol of the "Global Metropolis, Tokyo," and that Marunouchi will become a "meeting place" for people and cultures from around the world. With this as our goal, the Company is moving forward with its long-term plan to recreate the Marunouchi District in terms of both hardware and software, reconstructing buildings, revitalizing Marunouchi Naka Dori (Central Avenue) and supporting new business ventures.
