March 5, 2003 marked the half-year point since
the grand opening of the renewed Marunouchi Building
on September 6th of last year. To date, approximately
13.2 million people have visited the building
and its stores. Over 17 billion yen in sales has
been reported, far exceeding initial expectations
for the period.
Having established the commercial zone of Marunouchi
Building as the core, Mitsubishi Estate is now
utilizing a unified management strategy focused
on revitalizing the Marunouchi District by attracting
new stores to Marunouchi Naka-dori and other reconstructed
buildings in the area.
