Mitsubishi Estate Take Joint Ownership Stake in Sanno Park Tower

Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. today announced the decision to acquire a joint ownership stake in the Sanno Park Tower through an agreement to purchase shares held by Nikko Sohonsha Co., Ltd. Details are as follows:
 
1. Sanno Park Tower Outline (as of January 22, 2001)
  Location: 2-11-1 Nagatacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan
  Land Area: 14,980.57 square meters
  Building Type: Steel-framed reinforced-concrete
44 floors aboveground, 4 floors underground, 2-floor structure on roof
  Building Floor Space: 217,314.45 square meters
  Construction Completed: January 2000
  Main Tenants: NTT DoCoMo, Mitsubishi Trust & Banking, Deutsche Bank Group,
others
     
2. Property to be Acquired
  1) Land
    (i) Lot No.: 2-86-1, Nagatacho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Japan
    (ii) Land Area: 1,640.34 square meters recorded in official register
  2) Building  
    (i) Total Floor Space: 25,991.35 square meters
(12.125% of building’s registered floor space, 214,364.49 square meters)
     
  3) Stockholdings  
    (i) 1,746 shares of Sanno Netsu Kyokyu Co., Ltd.
(par value: 50,000 yen/share, 10.91% of all shares issued)
     
3. Purchase Price: 24 billion yen
     
4. Acquisition Date (planned) First half to be acquired on March 30, 2001
