Strengthening the Brand of
Royal Park Hotel Chain

| Mitsubishi Estate Co., Ltd. has seven hotel
chains in Japan. Last fall the company established a hotel
management company, Royal Park Hotels and Resorts Co.,
Ltd., to strengthen the operation and management of its
hotel chains. The Yokohama Royal Park Hotel Nikko, located
in a section of upper floors in the Landmark Tower Yokohama
at Yokohama Minato Mirai 21, has been operated by Yokohama
Royal Park Hotel Co., Ltd., a company jointly owned by
Mitsubishi Estate (90%) and JAL Hotels (10%). |

| Mitsubishi Estate has decided to make Yokohama
Royal Park Hotel Co., Ltd. a wholly owned subsidiary and
terminate the Yokohama Royal Park Hotel Co., Ltd. technical
support contract with JAL Hotels on April 1, 2001. On
April 1, the name of the hotel is to be changed to Yokohama
Royal Park Hotel, thus clarifying its operation as part
of the Royal Park Hotel Chain and boosting the Royal Park
brand. |
